2. Jack: How much does the computer ________ ?
    Susan: Twenty thousands dollars.

    (A) spend   (B) pay    (C) take    (D) cost
 
3. Nowadays many students ________ lots of time playing on-line games.

   (A) spend    (B) make    (C) cost    (D) play

4. Kevin spent two hours ________(do) homework yesterday.

5. Ken 花了一星期環島。
   
    ___________________________________________________







解答:

1. (B) took
     主詞為It，指的是裝飾聖誕樹這件事，花費的為時間，句子後面又為不定詞 to V，故要使用took.

2. (D) cost
     詢問的對象是電腦(物)，花費的為金錢，故要使用cost.

3. (A) spend 
    主詞為many students(人)，句子後面又為動名詞Ving，故要使用spend.

4. doing
    動詞使用spend，後面要加上動名詞Ving.

5. It took Ken a week to travel around the island.
    =Ken spent a week traveling around the island.
    兩種用法皆可以，不過第一句的主詞為It，指的是旅行這件事，第二句的主詞是Ken.
